Welcome!
Singapore has traded in its opium dens and pearl loggers for towers of concrete, glass and steel, and its image for cool efficiency as well as spotless streets, but it is still possible to recapture the past colonial era with a cold Singapore Sling under the dreamy ceiling fans at the famous Raffles Hotel.
At first glance, the city appears hideously modern and anonymous but this is a true Asian city in which Malay, Indian and Chinese traditions create part of the daily landscape – colourful contrasts which bring the city to life.
